good number of COTS applications are available to address the same. Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS). These applications are developed by bigger companies and even some of the startups. It would be great if we can discuss further with respect to the kind of system you need. Certainly an appliction just catering to online subscription may not be a good solution from a long term perspective. And being a startup, the luxury having such a system will cost a lot if we need to change the same after few months. Hence, a detailed description followed by your expectation will help me to suggest the optimal system with respect to your needs, quality and cost.

One of the things that we did on one of our start-ups is to join Microsoft BizSpark, this allowed us to use all of Microsofts products for a 3 year period without having to pay any licensing fees. If after 3 years your business is still around, in my opinion you will be able to afford the licensing fee at that time, good luck.
