What is the best way of rewarding your customers on your email list?
We send out special email announcements with coupons, birthday discounts/gifts, etc. but they seem to get lost in the shuffle. Here is an example of a recent mailing that we sent to all customers: eepurl.com

Several questions to think about:
1) What was the title of the email? Titles that catch attention are more likely to be opened. One way to do this is to use the customer's name in the title.
2) What is the benefit to the customer? There should be some ki... (more)

What legal permits do I need to sell Mexican art in the US?
There is a nice art gallery in Zacatecas Mexico and I'd like to promote what they are producing here in the US. I would also like to offer travel packs to returning buyers so they can go and experience how nice living is there.

How do I find affordable quality seamstresses for a women's clothing line (on a small scale)?
I've recently started a small custom women's clothing line and am selling a few designs on Etsy (www.etsy.com). Right now production is my biggest problem. I have only found one seamstress who can properly size my dresses and also produces quality work. But she's also expensive and I need to lower my costs. I need help finding affordable quality labor.

1) I put a lot of stock in negative reviews (I, for one, am much more likely to post a review on Amazon/Yelp/etc when its a negative experience than a positive one). So yes, I take any negative reviews seriously, and Yelp is #1 site I check for reviews on ... (more)

Do Facebook, Google and other site ads work to increase local customer traffic to your store?
I'm the owner of a small women's retail shop in Middleburg, Virginia called Betsey (www.betseyshop.com). I'd be willing to try these advertisements if there was potential they would work, but I don't know if they are designed for retailers like me.

It is possible to self distribute, but a better way to go is to talk to food brokers that can represent your product line to retail stores. I would start first in your local geographic area, and expand from there as you gain distribution with retailers, a... (more)
